Morgan Wallen and His SNL Exit: His Past Controversies in Relation to the Sketch Show Incident

Country music singer Morgan Wallen has been brought into the public eye once again, due to another controversy. After being the musical guest on an episode of Saturday Night Live in late March, the singer made a very strange and abrupt exit during the final bows of the show, leaving the audience and SNL cast confused as to why he coldly left the set. Typically, the guest host and the musical guest of the episode takes that time (while the cameras are still rolling) to socialize and celebrate with the rest of the cast members onstage as the credits roll and the episode comes to an end. Wallen, however, chose to exit as soon as his last line was finished and walk straight through the audience and away from the cameras. The Death and Resurrection of the Green Owl: Duolingo's Controversial Marketing Decision

One of the most well-known online personalities, the Duolingo owl (Duo), was shockingly "killed off" on Feb. 11, 2025, after an advertisement showed that the owl was hit by a Cybertruck. The initial reasoning behind this sudden marketing choice was confusing to app users, and the company even kept the reason for death a secret, in order to create more engagement with the app.  Regular users of Duolingo were still shocked about their app's mascot being randomly announced as dead, but there had been past messages in the app that had hinted to this eventual end. Duolingo was known for constantly threatening the death of Duo if the users did not finish their language lessons.  For over half a decade, there have been many trends come and go throughout the world, with many of them being online-related. One of the most prominent technology holds on society has been TikTok. The app has been continuing strong, with almost 5.5 billion downloads since its launch in 2018.  Many everyday people had started careers as influencers on the app and were relying on the success and continuation of TikTok for their livelihood. It seemed that the majority of society was addicted to this app, with people spending hours every day scrolling through a carefully curated algorithm of videos for their profile. The Fall of P Diddy: An Overview of the End to Stardom

 October 1, 2024 The entertainment industry was shocked to find out that Sean "P Diddy" Combs was taken into custody in September. After receiving allegations regarding sexual assault and rape for the past 10 months, the authorities arrested him on the charges of him operating a sexual "empire" since 2008.  The scandal initially started in November of 2023, when Combs' ex, Cassie, sued Combs for years of physical and emotional abuse. Within a day, the lawsuit was resolved privately, yet the fact that the news made it to social media made it very evident that this story would not be disappearing as quickly as the lawsuit was resolved. The social media platforms that didn't initially pick up on the story would soon do so, creating a large online presence and global relevance to this scandal.  September 4, 2024 The scandal surrounding ex-convict turned social media celebrity Gypsy Rose Blanchard is, not surprisingly, still brewing. Ever since her release from prison in December of 2023, there have been multiple news-worthy headlines regarding her return to a "normal" life. One of the more recent topics surrounding Blanchard is her pregnancy announcement in July.  This blog post focuses on the impact of the social media on this story, and how the internet has taken over the spread of this news, and provided the world with many different viewpoints on this topic.
